NRF SUMMER CAMP 2026

Skip to June 2026. The Neuroaid and Research Foundation (NRF) once again brought smiles, laughter, and meaningful learning experiences to children with special needs and their siblings through its much-awaited Summer Camp 2026, held from 1st June to 12th June. Designed as a fun-filled yet engaging programme, the camp provided a nurturing environment where children could learn new skills, express their creativity, and create cherished memories.

The first week of the camp was packed with exciting theme-based activities. Children explored and learned about body parts through interactive craft and music sessions, while shapes and colours were introduced through a variety of playful lexical and hands-on activities. They also embarked on a creative journey, making beautiful art and craft projects that encouraged imagination and self-expression.

A major highlight of the first week was the first-ever picnic organised by NRF for the children. The picnic was a unique experiential learning activity where the children actively participated in preparing their own meal and then enjoyed it together, making the day both educational and memorable.

Celebrating World Environment Day, the camp also focused on sustainability and environmental awareness. The children created attractive pen holders and planters using waste cartons, learning the importance of recycling and caring for the environment. This special activity was thoughtfully designed and conducted by Ms. Saisha Kundu, a Class IX student from K.R. Mangalam School, whose creativity and enthusiasm added a unique touch to the celebrations.

The second week continued with an exciting mix of arts and crafts, music, indigenous games, dance and movement activities, and concluded each day with a calming meditation session accompanied by the chanting of shlokas, promoting relaxation and mindfulness among the children.

The camp culminated in a vibrant Grand Finale on 12th June, made even more special by the enthusiastic participation of student volunteers from Amity International School, Pushp Vihar. The Class IX volunteer team, Team Xcelera, organised a series of engaging activities including LEGO car making, car racing, and creative art and craft sessions, filling the day with excitement and teamwork. All children took back a hamper of goodies sponsored by Team Xcelera

The last day was a celebration of every child’s effort and achievements. Each participant received a Certificate of Participation along with a special folder containing the wonderful creations they had made throughout the camp—a keepsake of their joyful summer journey.

The NRF Summer Camp 2026 was yet another heartfelt initiative by the Foundation to ensure that summers are not just a break from routine, but a season of learning, friendship, creativity, and happiness for every child. Through inclusive and thoughtfully designed activities, the camp reaffirmed NRF’s commitment to empowering children with special needs and creating opportunities for them to thrive in a supportive and joyful environment.
