On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, Neuroaid- Shakti, a multidisciplinary (re) habilitation center [unit of Neuroaid and Research Foundation] in association with RWA Nangal Dewat (Vasant Kunj) organized a free camp on Bone and Spine Health on 10th September 2022.
The response was very encouraging and a large number of people were benefitted by the services provided by the newly opened center. Most of the people who visited the camp were housewives and an elderly population.
A dedicated team of medical professionals comprising Physiotherapists from NRF, Orthopedic Surgeon, Nurses and Paramedical staff from Apollo Hospitals and Physiotherapy students from Jamia Hamdard worked through the day, earning appreciation from all those who attended the camp.
Consultation services included preventive and treatment options, demonstrations and counselling on right posture, back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, etc. Free testing services comprised bone densitometry and vital signs such as monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar and oxygen saturation, amongst other parameters.
The feedback received from the camp was excellent. People were very happy with the services offered and most importantly, by the personal attention provided to each one of them. Handouts in Hindi with simple exercises were distributed to all participants.
