NRF caters to Migrant Labourers during the Covid-19 pandemic

In the midst of the ongoing lockdown, even the smallest act of compassion can have a profound impact on those in need. As migrant workers embark on their journey back home, it’s essential to extend a helping hand, especially to those with families. After all, they’ve played an invaluable role in building our nation, and ensuring they don’t go hungry is a testament to our shared humanity. As Winston Churchill once wisely said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has plunged the world into an unprecedented crisis, affecting people’s health, livelihoods, and daily routines, particularly those dependent on daily wages and migrant workers. Many were left with no choice but to undertake the long and arduous journey back home, often on foot and with limited resources.  From 20 to 22.05.2020, in response to this humanitarian crisis, the NRF team sprang into action, recognizing the pressing need to provide relief to those most affected. Their carefully curated food packets, containing essentials like bread, biscuits, and water, served as a lifeline to those undertaking the daunting journey home. Venturing out into the scorching streets of Delhi,  distributing thousands of packets to alleviate hunger and provide comfort in the face of adversity, Team NRF encountered families including  pregnant women and children,  in desperate need.

Team NRF’s  tireless efforts underscored the power of grassroots initiatives in times of crisis. While governments also stepped up with relief measures like Shramik trains and buses, it’s the collective action of individuals and organizations like NRF that truly makes a difference. As we navigate these challenging times, let’s continue to support one another, ensuring that no one is left behind in our collective journey
towards recovery and resilience.
