The National Sports Injury Conclave, organized by the Physical Education Foundation of India in association with BLK Max, took place on 9 July 2023, at the NDMC Convention Centre, Sansad Marg, New Delhi. NRF team members Dr Sonal Sharma, Dr Shalini Singh and Dr Nidhi Sharma attended the workshop as part of their Continuous Professional Development effort.
The workshop on orthopedics was divided into three sessions. The first session focused on load management and recovery, emphasizing the pillars of injury prevention. It included a discussion on sports science in elite Indian football, highlighting the progress made over the last decade. The second session covered on-field assessment and management of injuries, with emphasis on preparing for the worst while hoping for the best. The third session focused on managing common sports injuries, the latest advancements in sports surgery, and methods for returning to sports. This session also introduced the latest in athletic rehabilitation, including “Isokinetic Training,” Treadmill, Anti-Gravity techniques and Ortho biologics. The conclave concluded with an open house panel discussion.

All participants shared their valuable insights and experiences. At the end of the workshop, all attendees received participation certificates.
