Mobile Physiotherapy Clinics: Bridging the Healthcare Gap: July – September 2021

Amidst the phased reopening of services post- pandemic, a surge in healthcare demands was palpable, exacerbated by deferred treatments and a myriad of post-COVID complications. In response, the Neuroaid and Research Foundation launched Mobile Physiotherapy Clinics, a proactive initiative to deliver essential physiotherapy services directly to communities.

Recognizing prevalent misconceptions surrounding exercise and rehabilitation post-illness, the initiative sought to dispel myths and promote proactive engagement with professional healthcare. Partnering with residential associations, a series of Mobile Physiotherapy Clinics were orchestrated across Noida sectors, garnering widespread community support and participation.

From July to September 2021, each clinic attracted nearly 100 patients, offering personalized assessments and treatments to address underlying musculoskeletal issues. With a focus on empowering individuals to embrace exercise and prioritize their well-being, the clinics provided comprehensive education on conditions, risk factors, and ergonomics.

Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach, therapists employed manual therapy techniques for immediate pain relief, alongside facilitating referrals and follow-ups for long-term care. From mechanical job-related issues to degenerative conditions, each patient received tailored interventions, fostering a culture of proactive healthcare engagement within communities.

In essence, Neuroaid’s medical camps and Mobile Physiotherapy Clinics stand as beacons of hope, epitomizing the transformative power of collaborative healthcare initiatives in nurturing healthier, resilient communities amidst adversity.
