Occupational therapy helps regain, enhance and maintain:

  1. Graded exercise programs through functional activities to improve muscle strength and endurance using MET levels
  2. Guidance on work-rest balance through work simplifications and energy conservation techniques
  3. Psychosocial (emotional) well-being by facilitating return to daily routine activities, work, leisure and recreation tasks based on MET levels
  4. Caretaker support through counseling and encouraging active involvement in setting goals
