Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia is a visionary educationist, philanthropist, entrepreneur, a successful businesswoman and a humanitarian.
She is the Co-Founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, India’s first industry-centric Technology and Liberal Arts-based University, and Chairperson of the Apeejay Education Society, running 24 educational institutions across the country. She is the Co-Promoter and President of the Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group - an international diversified conglomerate of businesses with activities in Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals, Real Estate & Development, International Trading & Distribution, Strategic Investments and emerging businesses such as Publishing & Media.
An individual of many firsts, Mrs Berlia was the first lady to lead a multi-state apex chamber of commerce in India, serving as the President of the PHDCCI in 2005-06. An entrepreneur par excellence, she was also the first lady in the country to lead her own pharmaceutical company, well before the age of 30, and turned it around by introducing new innovations and innovative products with indigenous R&D.
Mrs Berlia is former Chairperson, Board of Governors of NIT, Jalandhar and IIT Roorkee. She chaired ASSOCHAM’s National Council for Ease of Doing Business and is currently Chairperson of its National Council on Business Facilitation and Global Competitiveness, and a member of the National Management Committees of ASSOCHAM and FICCI.
A humanitarian at heart, she continues to champion causes set up for the needy, with Apeejay Institutions maintaining a strong focus on educational opportunities for the girl child, inclusivity and bringing differently-abled to the mainstream.

Son of HLH Maharaja Hanwant Singh ji & HH Rajmata Krishna Kumari ji of Marwar Jodhpur, Maharaja Gaj Singh ji is an Oxford graduate, who has held many positions of eminence in spheres of government, business, politics and society. He was an Independent Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.
He is the Chairman of Maharaja Heritage Resorts Ltd (Welcome Heritage Group) and Marudhar Hotels, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur; is Founder President of Indian Heritage Hotels Association, Jaipur; President of Mayo Collage, Ajmer; Ambassador of Federation of International Polo; and Convenor of Rajasthan State Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art, Culture Heritage (INTACH).

Dr Aruna Sharma is a Practitioner Development Economist and Policy Advisor. She was Secretary, Government of India, having worked with the Ministry of Electronics and IT, and Ministry of Steel prior to that. Dr Sharma was instrumental in bringing the Steel Policy 2017 and changes in GFR; she was a strong votary of the ‘Make in India’ movement to enhance domestic consumption of steel. She was a member of the Reserve Bank of India's high-level Committee on Deepening Digital payments in India.Dr Sharma works in the field of Digital Transformation, e-Governance, FinTech, Digital Assets as well as core sectors like Steel and Mining laws. She has developed and successfully led the panchayat-level governance model. Currently, Dr Sharma is on the Board of Directors of a few companies and writes regularly on Economy, Digital & Social Innovation, and Rural Development. She has authored 5 bestselling books, with the latest being ‘Dancing Towards The $5 Trillion Economy On A Holistic Beat’ published by Indra Publishing House.Inspired by her aunt Dr Shakuntala Nagesh Gokhale, Dr Aruna Sharma, along with her family members, continues to manage the Dr Shakuntala Gokhale Charitable Trust. Dr Sharma’s profile is never complete without the mention of Dr Gokhale {July 1938 – Sept 2022} who was a renowned Ophthalmologist having worked in some of the best hospitals in India and the UK. The young girl Shakuntala from Akola {on the banks of the Morna River in north-central Maharashtra}, ventured into foreign waters to complete her FRCS in the UK after her Masters in Surgery from the University of Bombay. Dr Aruna Sharma imbibed her aunt’s traits of selfless service and dreamed to spend her growing years with Dr Gokhale on her return to India. Sadly, that was not to be. Like a bolt from the blue, Aruna received a most devastating call from the UK Police who had found her aunt collapsed in her London home and rushed her to hospital. As if alive to pass on the baton to her niece, Dr Gokhale held Aruna’s hands tightly, looked at her intensely as if to convey “finish my unfinished assignments”. This then was the first seed strongly sown in Dr Aruna Sharma’s mind that founded the Dr Shakuntala Gokhale Charitable Trust to keep her aunt’s memory alive and execute her plans in the fields of education, health, environment, and social sectors, helping the under-privileged sections of society. Working through the Trust, Dr Aruna Sharma and her family continue her aunt’s legacy and support several initiatives :

Prof R.K Dhamija
Prof (Dr) Rajinder K Dhamija, MD DNB (Neuro) FRACP FRCP is an Australian-trained neurologist and was appointed as Director of the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi in January 2022. As Director of IHBAS, Prof Dhamija had tremendous responsibility to deliver at a time when Omicron had further caused intensified efforts of healthcare providers – both Govt and Private – to innovate and contain the pandemic, With the need for deliberations around mental health, taking centre stage. An autonomous body under the Delhi Government, IHBAS is the first neuro-psychiatric Institute in India to get NABH accreditation. It is heartening that he has sought and obtained the necessary approvals from the Govt, to build a comprehensive Neuro Rehabilitation service in IHBAS. His passion is to develop India’s first Neuro-Palliative Service and is keen that NRF initiates action towards realizing the same. NRF hopes to hugely benefit from his expertise and experience.
Dr. Dhamija did his MD from Medical College Rohtak (Haryana), and thereafter did his DNB (Neurology) from the National Board of Medical Examinations, New Delhi and FRACP from Melbourne Australia. He has received CCST (Eqv) from Specialist Training Authority of Medical Royal Colleges (UK) and FRCP (London). He established the Neurology Department at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi and was Head of the Department till January 2022 before taking over as Director IHBAS. He is also an advisor for Royal College of Physicians (London) and has been invited to present his research papers and lecture at several international meetings in the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Morocco, Malaysia, Cameroon and Bhutan. Dr Dhamija was awarded the Commonwealth Academic Fellowship in 2000 and 2003 and WHO fellowship in National Stroke Research Institute, Melbourne Australia in 2004. He was also WHO fellow at the National Institute of Epidemiology in 2011.
Prof Dhamija has been an expert /advisory member for several organizations including UPSC, J &K Public Service Commission, ICMR, UGC and Member, National Task Force and Co-Chair PG expert Group PG National Medical Commission. He has published more than 120 peer review research papers and book chapters. He has been DM (Neurology) Examiner for various universities including AIIMS Rishikesh, Delhi University, IP University, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University and SKIMS Srinagar. He is also Chair of Movement Disorders at the World Federation of Neurorehabiltation (WFNR).

He has received several awards and honours including the 33rd S Radhakrishnan Memorial National Medical Teacher Award in 2017, Dr B C Bansal and Mrs Uma Devi Oration in Clinical Medicine and National Award for Science Communication from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India.

Dr K Narayan
Dr K Narayan is Hony Chairman, Mahavir International Delhi, a not for profit society running three charitable hospitals in Delhi and primarily into eye and health care for the underprivileged.
He has recently signed off as Managing Director of National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), a CPSE under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. He had also held additional charge of National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC), and National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), sister CPSEs of NBCFDC, during his 5 years plus tenure there.
Narayan is a Mechanical Engineer by training and originally belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers IRSME. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and is now pursuing Masters in Counselling Psychology.
After a fruitful professional career of 28 years in Railways, CONCOR and social sector CPSEs, Narayan has now taken a plunge into full time social service, wherein besides Mahavir International, he is on the Governing Body of Godhuli, Managing Trustee of Gymkhana Benevolent Trust, and has floated the Mauka Shikshan Foundation.
His other interests include reading and writing of ancient Indian texts, distance running, trekking and badminton. He has authored a self-development book titled “Ancient Scriptures for the Modern Mind” and a collection of poems titled “Voice of Reason”.

Dr GSC Rao is a sugar industry veteran with over 45 years of experience. He has worked at various reputed sugar companies such as Godavari, Triveni, Dhampur and Simbhaoli as the CEO, where he revived many sick units to profitability and undertook numerous greenfield and brownfield expansions. At present, Dr Rao is the Managing Director and Promoter of Global Canesugar Services – a fully integrated technical services firm that has presence across India, South East Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Dr Rao has been a two-term President with the Sugar Technologists Association of India and was a council member with International Society of Sugar Technologists. His work has taken him to over 80 countries where he has presented over 130 technical papers. Dr Rao has also been a member on multiple Government committees.
He holds an MSc. from Osmania University, a PhD from National Sugar Institute in Kanpur and an MBA from AIMA Delhi.

Dr N Subramanian
Dr N. Subramanian is a Senior Consultant Urologist, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi.
A graduate and postgraduate in Surgery from the University of Delhi,
Dr Subramanian worked in the UK in Surgery and Urology for nearly a decade. He obtained his FRCS from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and Diploma in Urology from the University College London before returning to India. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Sciences. He has been training Urologists for the National Board of Examinations for over 15 years and is an overseas tutor and intercollegiate examiner of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons.
A strong advocate of patient safety, high clinical and ethical standards,
Dr Subramanian has been a member of the Quality Steering Committee and CII sub-committee on health care standards and accreditation. He is a recipient of several awards including the IMA President’s Appreciation Award, National Medical Forum Award, the UCMS Scroll of Honour and several awards for contribution to Urology.
An active Rotarian and philanthropist and a former District Governor, he is also a Trustee of the Samriddhi Foundation and Chairman Emeritus of the Rotary Delhi Central Charitable Trust.

Dr Mukul Varma
Dr Mukul Varma is a senior consultant neurologist with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, since its inception in 1996. He was awarded DM in Neurology from the prestigious King George’s Medical College, Lucknow in 1989 and pursued his teaching and research interests there for a few years before joining the Apollo Hospitals.
Dr Varma’s areas of special interest are movement disorders, headache and multiple sclerosis. He has attended courses and special training in the United States in movement disorders. Dr Varma initiated botulinum toxin injection treatment for the treatment of dystonia at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, and was instrumental in initiating deep brain stimulation (DBS) program for advanced Parkinson’s disease. He has been a principal investigator in clinical trials in the above areas. He has many publications in peer reviewed journals and a book chapter to his credit.
Dr Varma is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Headache Society and the International Movement Disorders Society. He has been a visiting consultant to Nepal and UAE in the past. He has contributed as faculty in several national and international conferences and has been invited to talk at various scientific forums.
Dr Varma is an adventurer at heart and loves adventure sports. He is also a qualified Scuba Diver, and has logged several dives in different parts of the world. His love for the mountains and his special interest in bird photography takes him often to the Himalayas. He frequently visits Uttarakhand where he also holds free health camps for the residents of remote areas of the State.

Dr Kuldeep Singh
A respected name in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr Kuldeep Singh has won many awards and accolades. After completing his MBBS and MS (Surgery) from the Meerut University, he did his M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) from PGIMER, Chandigarh, having obtained Certificates of Honours in 7 subjects.
He was Assistant & then Associate Professor at the Kasturba Medical College at Manipal, Karnataka before coming to Delhi to work with Holy Family Hospital and Kailash Hospital.
Since 1996, Dr Kuldeep Singh has been with the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi as a Senior Consultant in Aesthetic, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. His areas of expertise include Early Excisional Surgery in Burns; Reconstructive Microsurgery; Laser Cosmetic Surgery and Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation. He has received a number of awards from Associations of Surgeons of India and Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, and has some excellent publications in both Indian and Foreign journals.
Dr Kuldeep Singh is an avid reader, tennis player and a fitness freak; he has a large number of obese disciples in India and abroad, who through his email education and counselling, have managed to shed weight and become fit and healthy, also avoiding weight loss surgery in many cases! Dr Singh is involved in considerable altruistic initiatives, working with various charitable trusts. He is an outstanding teacher not only in his chosen profession, but also in training first responders in Primary Trauma Care.

Rajalakshmi Chandru
Raji Chandru is a BSc (Zoology) graduate from the Tamilnadu University, Chennai; she completed a Diploma Program in Secretarial Practice and completed a Certificate program in Basic Computers in 1985. Started her career in December 1982 as Executive Secretary to the MD of a joint sector company manufacturing Nickel-Cadmium batteries for the country’s Armed Forces. Joined Apollo Hospitals, Chennai in January 1987 as Executive Secretary (Admn) to the Chairman, handling all communication with patients, government and financial institutions.
Moved to New Delhi in August 1995 a year before the commissioning of the 600-bed Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, the country’s first JV in the private hospital sector. As Executive – Corporate Affairs, she worked very closely with multiple divisions: Medical, Projects, Nursing, Engineering, Security & Housekeeping, and facilitated approvals from statutory bodies including Blood Bank licence; worked with Embassies, Airport authorities during inter-State transport of cadaver organs; with senior specialist consultant doctors; handled inpatient services; conflict resolution; and a host of other responsibilities. She rose in the hierarchy over the years and is currently Vice President – Patient Services. She is the Nodal Officer of the Hospital for the Delhi Govt, and has 32 years of experience in Patient Services.
Outside the purview of her professional responsibilities, Raji Chandru conceptualised and initiated the registration of The Neuroaid & Research Foundation, along with 5 other Trustees, investing a considerable amount of her personal funds to ensure sustenance of the Foundation. She is the Chief Functionary of the Foundation.

Anuraag Jaipuria
Anuraag is the Managing Director of the Jaipuria Group. Post his graduation, he started his business career with a Pepsico franchisee. The company directly and indirectly employs more than 5000 people and was declared the bottler of the year in the AMESA region recently which was closely fought between 74 countries.
Over the last 26 years, Anuraag has led and expanded in many diverse fields. Besides the above mentioned company, he is involved in a large real estate project in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The 2 million sq.ft. development comprises of luxury flats, offices and a mall. He also runs an engineering unit and a few schools. Currently his passion is to expand the FMCG business and grow in the space of holistic sports academies: the first being a state-of-the-art cricket academy in Jaipur - even larger than the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. He is also actively involved in running an Old Age Home and Orphanage.
With a BA from Richmond, International American University in London, U.K. and a summer school course from Harvard University, USA, both of which he topped, Anuraag is a passionate investor. His investment portfolio spans from real estate to listed equities and early stage start-ups in the space of logistics, packaging, genomics, etc.
Anuraag likes to play tennis and was a zonal player in his school/college days. He is into fitness and likes adventure trips and cruising.
