This year, The Neuroaid and Research Foundation (NRF) decided to mark the day by organising games for the children with special needs at the Handicapped Welfare Federation (HWF) Centre located in Madhu Vihar, Patparganj. Two therapists (1 OT & 1 PT) from Neuroaid Shakti, Vasant Kunj, meticulously planned and implemented a fun game and a painting competition for 14 children from the Special School after receiving inputs from the Special Educator of the school. Gifts were distributed among all children (7 girls and 7 boys) that included a ‘Back to School’ kit with a school bag, water bottle, tiffin box, pencil box, crayons, among many other small items used in school. The gifts were given by the Chief Guest of the program organized by HWF that also included a cultural show put up by the school children and distribution of tricycles, wheelchairs and crutches to persons with disabilities. Overall, the program was a hit. The smiles and hugs received by the NRF team comprising Sugandha and Ankita were proof of the same.
